Experience:

I began my career working for a custom publishing house in layout, proofreading and permissions editing. Later, I worked at the New England Journal of Medicine and the Massachusetts Medical Society writing speeches and presentations for physician leaders. From there, I became the marketing and public relations director at two hospitals and was responsible for communications materials such as press releases, newsletters, and annual reports. I also spent time as a copyeditor on the night desk at a regional newspaper.

I am a licensed teacher in both English and ESL and have been a writing instructor for secondary and adult learners of English as a second language. I’ve worked with writers from language backgrounds such as Spanish, Portuguese, Twi, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, and Arabic.

During my career as an educator, I’ve written and edited curricula, presentations, newsletters, contracts, and articles on teaching and learning. I've also been an adjudicator for the Alliance for Young Artist and Writers Scholastic Art and Writing Awards (artandwriting.org).

Let me use my experience to help you bring your words to publication!
